Year 2 are learning about the Titanic in line with their History and Geography topic. We were lucky enough to attend The National Maritime Museum where the children will attended a worshhop. The children spent an action-packed day as a passenger aboard the world’s most famous ship before it sank to the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. Pupils spent time:
- investigating real objects and archives from the Titanic
- immersing themselves as a real character from the ship and meet historical actor characters along the way
- developing their imagination and literacy skills
We also wrote postcards home from the perspective of a first, second or third class passenger.
