In Jeffers Class we enjoyed a workshop with the Hackney Museum about African Communities living in Hackney. We learned about the lives of people who had moved to Hackney from different African countries, including a man that set up a fabric shop selling Kente cloth. We then painted different colours onto Kente patterns and talked about what the different colours mean.
