This Week members of the School Council, Rights Respecting Group and Aspire Ambassadors went to visit Hackney Town Hall. We met Councilor Rathbone, the Speaker and the Mayor! We had a tour of the Speaker chambers and the gallery of past Mayors and speakers. The children asked lots of thoughtful questions and learnt about what it takes to be a councilor. The Mayor let us have a tour of his office and told the children what it was like to have a job like his. He spoke about his visit to our school last week and commented that perhaps a member of our school might be Mayor one day!
