As part of Refugee Week Shoreditch Park Primary School are supporting Badu and the soul garden's project in Bulgaria. They will be visiting Bulgaria in August and volunteering at an orphanage. During refugee week children had the opportunity to donate to this. This money went towards essential hygienic items for the children. ASPIRE ambassadors along with selected children across the school went to Hoxton to buy these items. We bought 30 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioners, 60 shower gels and 60 toothbrushes. The remaining money will be put towards money raised from other schools to ensure each child has one product! The children were perfect ambassadors for Shoreditch Park; picking the items, counting the money and carrying the bags! They had the opportunity to visit a shop that made sports balls with materials from Ghana, Zambia and Zumbabwe. They spoke to the children about how they want equal health and education rights for all children.
We look forward to hearing back from BADU!
