Reception children have been taking part in weekly Forest School sessions, held in the wonderful natural environment of our own school garden! The children experience Forest school on a rotation each term and all children take part in a weekly outdoor session to develop their 'Understanding of the World' as well as nature based activities during Free Flow and playtimes.

These sessions have quickly become a highlight of the week, offering the children opportunities to explore, discover, and learn through hands-on experiences in the outdoors. Each visit to the garden invites new adventures, whether the children are investigating the changing season, collecting natural treasures, building small shelters, or simply enjoying the sensory experiences of being surrounded by nature.

Forest School has provided a rich extension to the children’s learning, encouraging curiosity, independence, and problem-solving skills. We look forward to many more outdoor adventures as the year continues.
